Recorder¶
The recorder web part allows assigning a task to open and read any type of link, or a specific document from the docCentrum Published Documents centre.
You can assign tasks for items to individual users, or to an entire Microsoft Team.
Assigning Tasks¶
Choose a document, or other media type¶
The first, default option is "DocCentrum Document".
This presents a dropdown box where you can choose the DocCentrum Document to be assigned to users.
If you change this to "Link to Media Type", the dropdown list changes to a choice of a Media Type, and a URL. You can choose which kind of media you are creating tasks for, and then input the URL to the web page or document you want the users to read.
Read Type¶
Next, choose the Read Type for the tasks. If you choose "Mandatory", the user cannot dismiss the task and they must open and complete it via the "My Reading List" web part. If you choose "Recommended", the tasks are optional and the user can dismiss the task via the "My Reading List" web part.
Users¶
Use this option to search for and select one or more users. Every user in this selection will be assigned a task to read the item selected above.
Groups¶
Use this option to choose a Microsoft Team. Every member of the team selected here will be assigned a task to read the item selected above.
Due Date¶
Use the date picker here to set a due date. If the task is not marked as completed by this date, the user will receive email notifications to remind them to complete the task.
Priority¶
Use the option here to set a priority for this task.
Description¶
Use this option to set extra instructional information for the user which may be helpful in them with this task, e.g. "Watch the video and pay attention to the section regarding finance"
Quiz¶
You can use this section to assign a Quiz to this user. Quizzes are defined in the docCentrum Admin Centre
