My Inbox¶
The My Inbox feature allows quick access to your inbox for rapid access to your emails, and highlights any new and important emails you may have.
The feature is launched from the envelope icon in the Mercury Top Bar.
Note
External (Guest) users in your tenant do not have a mailbox in your tenant, so this icon will be hidden for those users.
Unread email hints¶
When the coloured circle hint is shown, you have unread or important emails in your inbox.
A blue circle signifies unread emails.
A red circle signifies important unread emails.
If you hover over the mail icon you can see how many unread or important emails you have.
My Mailbox¶
If you click the mail icon, the mailbox browser will appear from the right of the screen. The default view of this is the root folder of your inbox, and hides read emails by default. Important emails are shown in a seperate section at the top of the list of emails.
Clicking on any email will open that email in a new browser tab. Clicking an unread email opens that email and marks it as read.
Search¶
At the top of the mailbox browser is a search box. Use this to find emails by their subject or body.
Note
Due to a service limitation, unfortunately you cannot filter read/unread emails whilst performing a search.
Mail Folder Browser¶
Below the search box there is an icon and the name of the Inbox folder. If you click the Icon you can browse the hierarchy of your Inbox, and choose a folder to see the emails in that folder.
When you select a folder and click the Select
button, the name of the selected folder is shown at the top, and the emails contained within that folder are then displayed.
